The Wassertec Azure 2013 is a simple yet rugged and reliable Corona Discharge type ozone generator for small water treatment applications.
Azure 2013 has been designed for continuous operation in domestic and light commercial applications with minimal maintenance. All components are of high quality and chosen for their durability and resistance to ozone. The stainless steel housing features a cover that allows the unit to be mounted outdoors in moderately sheltered environments (away from direct sunlight/rainfall) Azure 2013 has 3 ozone outputs depending on the type of feed gas used:
Ambient Air 1.8 Gr/Hr
Dry Air 3.1 Gr/Hr
Oxygen (95%) 8.0 Gr/Hr
Mazzei injectors – Ozone from the CD Aqua must be dosed into water using a venturi injector. We only supply the Mazzei brand of injectors. These are made from Kynar (PVDF) and are extremely efficient, achieving ozone dissolution in water of between 70-90% depending on pressure & temperature.
High quality ozone modules – Azure 2013 has 2 ozone tubes with solid state high voltage power supplies. The ozone tubes are fully ozone resistant, being constructed from Sintered Alumina ceramic, Stainless Steel and Teon. There are absolutely no glass or nylon parts.
Ebara water pumps – Azure 2013 systems are supplied with Ebara stainless steel water pumps. These work well with the venturi injectors and have excellent ozone compatibility. They are suitable for both domestic and commercial use.
The Azure 2013 can be supplied as an individual ozone generator or as part of a system which offers a complete water disinfection solution.
The system comprises of the following components:
• Azure 2013 Ozone Generator
• Stainless Steel water pump
• Venturi Injector for dosing ozone
• System start/stop circuit breaker
• Air filter
• Ozone resistant teflon tubing
• ozone resistant non-return valve
Installation The system is typically installed as shown in the diagram above. Water to be treated is stored in a tank (up to 10,000 litres). The pump circulates water in the tank through the venturi. In doing so the venturi creates a vacuum which draws ozone into the water. Ozone disinfects and decontaminates the water. The water can then be pumped to its point of use, preferably via a filter.
Azure 2013 with Oxygen
Any Ozone generator will make 4 times as much Ozone if Oxygen is used as a feed gas instead of air. Furthermore the Ozone will be up to eight times more concentrated, and as a result far more soluble in water. By combining Azure 2013 with our Wassertec OX5 Oxygen generator and a small oil-less compressor high concentration Ozone can be produced. This is ideally suited to applications such as the disinfection of treated water for bottling.
Water Tank Control System
This is a further variation for applications where drinking water is distributed from a water tank. The system features a tank level controller, solenoid valve and timer, all in a water resistant housing. Ozone is dosed for a user determined number of hours per day. This will depend on the size of the tank, consumption and water quality. The tank of treated water will then drain to a low level before re-filling and the ozone will run whenever the tank is filling so as to ensure that the water in the tank is disinfected at all times.
