Indigo Ozone Generator Cape Town – The Wassertec Indigo ozone generator is a self-contained system that can produce up to 20 grams/hour of ozone at the turn of a switch. Indigo features a built-in oxygen concentrator and optional oil-less compressor allowing the unit to produce ozone at high concentrations.

1. Wassertec Oxygen Generator – After many years of using imported oxygen generators Wassertec have designed and manufactured its own version. This unit is more robust and easier to service than its counterparts.
2. High-Quality Ozone Modules – The ozone modules each produce 10 gr/hr of ozone from oxygen. They are constructed from hard anodised aluminium, stainless steel & ceramic. They are of a planar as opposed to tubular design which maximises air cooling efficiency and therefore ozone output.
3. High Voltage Power Supply – The Indigo uses the tried & tested Wassertec ST0905 power supply which has been constantly refined since inception in 2002. Ozone output can be electronically controlled from 0 -100%
Applications suitable for a 20-gram/hour ozone generator
It’s important to note when using ozone, no two applications will be the same. Before determining the amount of ozone required the following needs to be known:
1. Quality of required result
2. Quality of the air or water to be treated
3. Volume to be treated.
Each has its own set of variables that will require analysis. Here are some applications to which the Indigo ozone generator is suited
Potable water treatment – Ozone is a very powerful disinfectant. At a dosage of 2mg/litre the Indigo can treat up to 10,000 litres/hour of water.
Cooling tower water treatment – Ozone can be used as a complete replacement of the chemical treatment programme on a cooling tower
Horticulture, Irrigation, or Hydroponics – Ozone is suitable as a disinfectant for irrigation water. It will oxidise organisms which causes root damage as well as increasing oxygen levels in the water
Car wash water re-cycling – Increasingly automated car washes are making use of recycling systems in order to save water. Ozone is used in these systems to prevent unpleasant odours from developing in the water as well as to reduce foaming.
